In this talk I reflect on the evolving nature of faith as a personal journey. Faith is not blind but built through experience, spiritual practice, and trust in divine principle. I share a recent professional setback in the affordable housing world, illustrating how spiritual tools—especially the practice of pausing—helped me process disappointment and regain clarity. I highlight the importance of being aligned with one's core values, such as doing good and doing well, and advocate for building faith through evidence, surrender, and support from spiritual community. Ultimately, flourishing is framed not as a constant high, but as growing through life’s challenges while staying connected to the divine.
In this talk I explore the transformative power of love, emphasizing how different types of love — from self-love to community love — create space for personal and collective growth. I use the Greek words for love, like Agape (unconditional divine love), Philia (brotherly love), Pragma (practical, action-based love), and Storge (familial love), to illustrate how love can manifest in different relationships. The key message is that love not only changes everything but also provides the space for us to change, heal, and support one another through spiritual practices like blessing, self-care, and seeking support.
In this talk I share the idea that gratitude is a superpower — more than just a fleeting feeling of thankfulness, it’s a lasting, transformative state of being that shapes our experiences and strengthens our spiritual and daily lives. I distinguish gratitude from thankfulness, emphasizing that while thankfulness often comes from specific moments, gratitude is an ongoing, expansive force that supports and uplifts us. By cultivating a personal gratitude practice — whether through journaling, prayer, or small daily moments of recognition — we invite more good into our lives, foster deeper connections, and empower ourselves to respond to life with greater resilience and joy. I encourage us start small, stay present, and embrace the journey of gratitude. This practice will change us for good.
In this talk I play with the dynamic relationship between saying "yes" and "no." Each "yes" inherently involves a "no" to something else, and vice versa. This is essential for creating boundaries and living from a place of love and authenticity. I share that understanding what is ours to do and what isn’t is an act of self-love and spiritual alignment that empowers us to make conscious choices without guilt or fear of missing out. By pausing, listening to the body’s wisdom, and seeking prayerful support when needed, we can navigate decisions with kindness and clarity, ensuring our "yes" and "no" are complete sentences — standing alone without justification — rooted in personal truth and divine grace.
In this talk I reflect on the significance of Father’s Day, blending personal stories with spiritual insights about "father energy" — a mix of provider, protector, teacher, and emotional anchor. I share how my own father’s sacrifices shaped my approach to parenting, leading me to prioritize being present for my son despite career demands. I explore the duality of divine "Mother-Father God" energy in New Thought teachings, emphasizing that we can call on this energy — whether for protection, wisdom, or courage — in our lives. The talk closes with a heartfelt reminder that Spirit is always present, holding and guiding us, and encourages embracing the playful, supportive, and loving qualities of fatherhood.
In this talk I explore authentic individuality, recognizing the spiritual truth that each person is a unique expression of the Divine. I share my personal journey of grief and growth, highlighting the importance of vulnerability, self-awareness, and inner work in becoming our true selves. I highlight the church’s band, emphasizing how their collaboration reflects authenticity and mutual respect. I encouraged our community members to embrace both their strengths and challenges as opportunities for deeper self-discovery, reminding everyone that life is a continuous journey of evolving into their authentic, unique selves — and that, spiritually, one size truly does not fit all.
